The green and purple leaves move up at night. Each day is different, packed with fascinating facts and interesting activities. Your child will learn while having a lot of fun. We are looking forward to meeting your little scientists (Reception Class to Y6). Our camps are a unique mixture of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Technology, History, Drama, and Singing. Let’s learn through play. Children can expect interesting hands-on activities and experiments, construction play, pretend play, arts & crafts, singing educational songs, and listening to amazing stories connected to the topic. We will have access to a fantastic playground where our explorations will continue. There will be lots of experiments and hands-on activities for your inquisitive little scientists connected to this topic. They will be explained in a fun and simple way. Let your little scientists enter the amazing world of science under the supervision of experienced and enthusiastic teachers and assistants. From slime, paper, and playdough making, to ice cream, ice challenges, slime, herbal cosmetics or remedies, rainbows, or treasure hunts. There will be SO many activities (as always ) that your little scientist will come home and will not stop talking about what they will have been up to! Singing educational songs, sensory activities, hands-on science experiments, interesting craft and fun games indoors and outdoors (we have an amazing playground) are just a few examples of how a day in a high quality camp can be spent. The topics of our camp: Wednesday July 23: "Inventions" Learn about the inventions that changed the world and make your own; Use UV torches and microscopes to learn about microscopic world (take a UV pen home), and much more... Thursday July 24: "Hot" From hot sun, stars and volcanoes, learn about fire, static electricity, lightning, and desert animals. Make popcorn, volcanoes, and much more... Friday July 25 : "Cold" Travel to the coldest places on Earth; to the deepest oceans and highest mountains and learn about animals that live there. Explore Artic and Antarctica with the famous explorers. Make ice cream, and do the ice challenge, and much more... Monday July 28: "Sensational Senses: Sight" Learn about a human eye and compare it to different types of animal eyes. Do all animals have eyes? Improve your visual memory and play memory games; Explore colour changing materials and take a colour changing animal home, and much more... Tuesday July 29: "Sensational Senses: Hearing" Learn about a human ear and compare it to different types of animal ears. Do all animals have ears? Explore a variety animal sounds; make a simple musical instrument and popping powders. How many volcanoes can you make erupt? History or a telephone, telegraph, and much more... Wednesday July 30: "Sensational Senses: Smell" Learn about a human nose and compare it to different types of animal noses. Do all animals have a nose? Make lovely smelling potions and bath salts or scented playdough; learn about respiratory systems, and drink mint tea. Plant a wonderful mint plant, and much more... Thursday July 31: "Sensational Senses: Taste" Learn about a human tongue and compare it to different types of animal tongues. Do all animals have a tongue? Learn about and create a digestive system; Make an edible playdough or slime; Taste a variety of herbs and make(and taste) a variety of teas, and much more... Friday August 1: "Sensational Senses: Touch" Learn about a human skin and compare it to different types of animal skins. Do all animals have a skin? Learn to recognise a variety of materials and experiment with them.
